RECONSTRUCTION


The accident reconstruction consists of a scenario reproducing the pre-collision, the collision and the post-collision phases. The impact and initial velocities are calculated. It is a simulation of the real crash with respect to energy, vehicle trajectory, road marks and vehicle deformations. These calculations are primarily based on the conservation of momentum and of kinetic energy.

       Reconstructions use :
  • Energy evaluations (according to real crash-tests)
  • Impact angles (pre and post) using vectors
  • Vehicle technical data (mass, dimension, center of gravity...)
  • Road geometry and friction coefficient

       It is possible to :
  • Create a 3D model of the road
  • Follow the trajectories (according to the road marks)
